Description

The course funding by the West-Eastern Wisdom – Willigis Jäger Foundation enables people with low income in Bavaria to participate free of charge or at a reduced rate in Zen and contemplation courses at the Benediktushof. The foundation's goal is to provide access to inner reflection and spiritual education regardless of financial capacity. Each year, the full course fees are covered for up to two courses; beyond that, a 50% discount is granted. Subsidized expenses exclusively include course fees; this is an ongoing funding opportunity without fixed application deadlines.

A prerequisite for funding is that the monthly gross income does not exceed certain limits (single individuals ≤ €1,735, spouses ≤ €1,238, children up to 14 years ≤ €832, from 14 years ≤ €1,112) and total assets do not exceed €15,500. Applications must be submitted before the course begins using a fully completed application form and information sheet, along with proof of income and assets. Upon positive review, the foundation board confirms approval, and the certificate entitles the holder to book the course at a reduced rate at the Benediktushof. Interested private individuals may submit the application to the foundation board at any time. This straightforward procedure ensures that sustainable spiritual practice is not hindered by financial barriers and that the offerings of the Zen and contemplation program are accessible to a broad segment of society.
