Rural Reorganization

Rural Reorganization in Vorarlberg specifically supports measures for structural improvement and cultural landscape maintenance in rural areas. Within the framework of the Austrian Rural Development Program, the program promotes, among other things, agricultural consolidations, land readjustments, as well as ecological and cultural-technical projects. These include the optimization of soil and property structures, the expansion of access roads, hydraulic engineering and bioengineering measures, as well as the natural design of soils and landscapes. The goal is to secure the quality of life in rural communities in the long term, strengthen ecological diversity, and sustainably expand regional infrastructure.

Companies, cooperatives, public institutions, and private individuals in Vorarlberg have the opportunity to apply for a direct grant at any time. The funding volume of 0.35 million euros per year is continuously available and supports both the planning and implementation of projects. Support also extends to surveying and consulting services as well as to in-kind contributions for communal facilities. Through close professional support by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Areas of the state government, project ideas are implemented in a practice-oriented manner and sustainable value creation is generated locally. Interested stakeholders can apply for funding without deadline constraints and thus contribute to the preservation of the cultural landscape.
