State Contribution to the Secure Communities Fund has been permanently supporting the coordinated implementation of accident prevention measures in all municipalities of Vorarlberg since 1997. The fund is managed by foundations that, together with municipal institutions, organizations, and experts, develop courses and programs for awareness-raising. The focus is on education, training, counseling, and public relations to enhance hazard awareness, minimize accident risks, and sustainably reduce associated costs. The annual budget amounts to a total of €430,000, with quarterly accounting providing for a state funding rate of 45% and a social fund contribution of 55%.
As a continuously available grant option, the funding enables all municipalities of Vorarlberg and their residents to access extensive training and continuing education opportunities. Applicants submit the resolution of the general assembly along with a financial statement and an activity report to the fund authority no later than six months after the end of the fiscal year. Thanks to the unlimited duration, funding applications can be submitted at any time. Support from the Office of the Vorarlberg State Government, Department IVd – Health Affairs, strengthens collaborative prevention efforts and makes an important contribution to safety in work, health, and social participation in the region.
