Funding requirements

- Operation of the infrastructure for at least 3 years from completion (leasing/rental/contracting contract term at least 3 years)
- Technical equipment per charging point according to DIN EN 62196-2 (AC) or DIN EN 62196-3 (DC)

Description
The state initiative III Market Growth Electromobility BW – Charging Infrastructure for Electric Vehicles (Charge@BW) supports the comprehensive expansion of publicly accessible charging stations and preparatory electrical installations in condominium communities in Baden-Württemberg. Eligible applicants include companies from all sectors, municipalities, public institutions, cooperatives, condominium communities, and private individuals. The objective of the grant program is to advance electromobility, promote climate-friendly mobility options, and contribute to the expansion of renewable energy. The L-Bank acts as the granting authority on behalf of the Ministry of Transport Baden-Württemberg and guides applicants throughout the entire application process.
Up to 40% of eligible expenses are funded, with a maximum of €2,500 per charging point. Covered costs include acquisition, installation, grid connection, as well as monthly installments for leasing, rental, or contracting, and preparatory electrical installations in condominium communities. The program allows grants for up to 250 charging points per applicant. Requirements include having a registered office or place of business in Baden-Württemberg, a minimum of three years of operation at the respective location, and compliance with technical standards (DIN EN 62196-2 and DIN EN 62196-3). A minimum approval amount of €5,500, submission of a fully completed application, a De-minimis declaration, proof of green electricity supply, the purchase or leasing contract, and, for condominium communities, a current land register excerpt are mandatory.
