Description

The Education Fund of the Future Foundation for Agriculture supports non-profit organizations and educational institutions throughout Germany in implementing innovative educational programs related to organic farming and agricultural policy. Projects are funded that provide children, adolescents, and adults with practical insights into sustainable cultivation methods as well as critical discussions on current agricultural policy issues. Applicants must be recognized under German non-profit law; natural persons and private commercial enterprises are excluded. The funding amount ranges from €500 to €5,000 per project and is granted as a subsidy. Up to four times a year – on March 15, May 17, September 13, and November 1 – the foundation board decides on the grants.

The application documents include a fully completed and legally binding signed form, a cost and financing plan, the current articles of association, a tax exemption certificate (not older than three years), an extract from the association or commercial register (not older than five years), as well as the annual financial statement or report of the last fiscal year. Submission is electronic; each file must be submitted separately. The goal is to raise awareness of ecological forms of economy and to equip future decision-makers with sound knowledge and practical skills.
