LVR Budget for Work – Inclusion Action has been promoting the inclusive employment of severely disabled persons in North Rhine-Westphalia since 2026. As an ongoing grant program of the Rhineland Regional Council (LVR), it supports both employers and severely disabled employees equally. The goal is to remove barriers in the workplace and strengthen participation in the primary labor market. By providing financial relief for personnel and material additional costs, obstacles to hiring and maintaining employment relationships are minimized. Companies and public institutions benefit from a needs-based subsidy model that promotes an equitable working environment.

The funding prerequisite is a location in North Rhine-Westphalia as well as employment in accordance with SGB IX. All employers wishing to employ severely disabled persons are eligible to apply. Personnel expenses such as assistance or care costs, as well as material expenses like technical aids or workplace-related modifications, are funded. For the application, the official LVR application form, proof of severe disability, and a detailed cost breakdown must be submitted. Since the program operates without a fixed deadline, applications can be submitted at any time. The LVR Inclusion Office supports interested parties with professional advice and promotes sustainable integration into the labor market.
