The funding of measures for the implementation of the Lower Austria economic and tourism strategy supports regional development projects that contribute to the implementation of the aforementioned strategies. This aims to further strengthen and sustainably develop Lower Austria as a business and tourism location.

Description
The funding initiative for the implementation of the Lower Austria Economic and Tourism Strategy enables public institutions, non-profit organizations, and small to medium-sized enterprises from Lower Austria to fully finance non-investive soft measures with a 100% grant. Eligible to apply are all organizations within the Lower Austria Economic Department as well as its network partners that carry out projects and services to realize regional development goals and strengthen the location’s quality. Funding covers personnel expenses, material costs, external services, and overhead costs to support networking activities, feasibility studies, and consulting services for the implementation of strategic directives. Applications can be submitted continuously until December 31, 2027; early submission prior to the start of project activities is a prerequisite for grant approval.
The eligibility for funding is assessed based on regional economic, strategic, and sustainability criteria. Non-eligible are invoices not issued to the applicant, payments not made, invoice amounts under €200 (excl. VAT), discounts or rebates, taxable services with input tax deduction, as well as cash payments exceeding €5,000. The following documents must be attached to the application: an informal application, a project description according to the guideline including appendices, a detailed overall cost breakdown, annual financial statements or balance sheets for the last two fiscal years, as well as copies of any applications submitted to other funding agencies including decision letters. A sustainable strengthening of the economic and tourism location Lower Austria is decided by the responsible processing office in close coordination with experts from the Economic Department.
