Description

The funding program "Mobile Youth Work/Streetwork" in Lower Austria is aimed at non-profit organizations that provide outreach youth work with a secondary and tertiary preventive mandate. The goal is to reach young people and youth groups who find it difficult or are unable to independently access stationary counseling centers. Through low-threshold on-site services, destructive conflict resolution strategies are identified and, together with the participants, alternative, resource-oriented approaches are developed. The initiative pursues a preventive approach, thereby strengthening the social competence of young people in challenging life situations.

Interested non-profit organizations can submit grant applications on an ongoing basis and receive annual funding of up to €100,000. The funds support both personnel and material expenses and enable flexible project design in various regions of Lower Austria. By focusing on direct engagement and support on site, trusting relationships are established that sustainably improve access to assistance services. The measure not only promotes individual solution strategies but also makes an important contribution to strengthening youth welfare and prevention locally.
