Lower Austria Project and Organizational Funding for Generations

The State of Lower Austria supports non-profit organizations, interest groups, and associations engaged in the fields of social affairs, women’s advancement, education and training, as well as commitment to social cohesion and democracy. The aim is to support measures in the interest of families, women, and seniors that strengthen intergenerational coexistence. Funding is provided particularly for socio-political, educational, and innovative projects implemented through cooperations and networks. Since March 1, 2020, applications can be submitted at any time without limitation. Funding is granted as a subsidy and is based on the actual financial needs of the submitted measures.

Eligible for funding are all non-profit organizations, interest groups, and other associations based in Lower Austria that present suitable projects. Requirements include, among others, socio-political initiatives for families, women, or seniors, educational programs, innovative projects with a generational focus, as well as cooperation and networking activities. A complete application and a detailed financing plan are required for submission. After reviewing the funding requirements and financing plan, the payment is made immediately. Applicants incur no cost burden; the final accounting takes place after project completion, during which the funding criteria are reviewed again.
