Lower Austria Sports Performance Centers

Lower Austria Sports Performance Centers offer continuous direct funding from the State of Lower Austria to support membership fees and earmarked payments to regional competitive sports organizations. As a grant, this support is exclusively aimed at non-profit organizations, interest groups, and clubs based and operating in Lower Austria. The basis for this is agreements between the State of Lower Austria and the sports umbrella organizations, which provide for clear earmarking and transparent use of funds. The funding objective is to strengthen financial stability and competitiveness in competitive and elite sports by covering contributions for active athletes, coaches, and infrastructure costs. Allocation is carried out in accordance with state guidelines and relevant sports law provisions, including the Lower Austria Sports Act and the Associations Act 2002.

Particularly interested are registered sports clubs and associations that hold entitlement to agreements and contracts with the State of Lower Austria. In addition to the clearly defined criteria of location and activity, a valid agreement on earmarked contributions must be in place. Applications can be submitted at any time, as funding requests may be continuously filed. Processing is handled by the Sports Department of the Office of the Lower Austria State Government. Through continuous funding, it is ensured that competitive sports organizations have uninterrupted access to financial resources to build sustainable training and competition structures. This funding thus makes a significant contribution to regional sports development and the promotion of top-level performance in the federal state.
