The Sponsorship Assistance of the Peter + Maria Kinscherff Foundation for Senior Support offers a monthly aid of €35 for needy elderly pensioners in the Rhine-Neckar-Pfalz metropolitan region. The aim of this funding is to alleviate old-age poverty and to strengthen the social participation of older people whose pension alone is insufficient to fulfill small everyday wishes. The grant is initially approved for a period of 12 months and can be extended upon submission of current certificates. Eligible for funding are private individuals aged 65 and over residing in the Rhine-Neckar-Pfalz metropolitan region who receive basic security in old age or housing allowance, or who have a disposable income of no more than €800 (single household) or €1,400 (couples/communities) after deducting rent. Additionally, seniors receiving pocket money in care facilities are considered. Applications can be submitted at any time via an informal application including the required documentation according to the funding guidelines. After thorough review, a written approval is issued.
