Description

The Pauline von Mallinckrodt Prize of the Caritas Foundation for the Archdiocese of Paderborn honors outstanding voluntary commitment in North Rhine-Westphalia and supports non-profit organizations, interest groups, associations, as well as public institutions within the Archdiocese. Awarded are projects that cover the spectrum from traditional volunteering through youth volunteering to education for sustainable development. The focus is on strengthening social cohesion, promoting social justice, and charity. An ongoing submission option enables continuous support for diverse initiatives that take responsibility and set sustainable impulses in their communities. Prize money and awards are intended to underscore the effectiveness of already successfully implemented measures while simultaneously highlighting new ideas.

Interested sponsors submit an informal preliminary inquiry outlining the project proposal, objectives, timeframe, and an initial cost and financing plan. The decision is based on clearly defined criteria: contribution to volunteering, degree of innovation in the field of sustainability, and the social impact of the project. A complete application includes, in addition to the preliminary inquiry, a detailed project description and a comprehensive cost and financing plan. There is no binding deadline, so applications can be submitted year-round. In this way, the Caritas Foundation supports forward-looking initiatives that promote community and contribute in the long term to strengthening democratic values and sustainable development in the Archdiocese of Paderborn.
