Description

The state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania provides a continuously available grant program for extracurricular measures in political youth and adult education. Eligible for funding are private individuals, public and educational institutions, as well as interest groups and other associations as providers of political education. The objective is to strengthen democratic awareness, promote tolerance, and encourage political participation. With a funding rate of up to 50% of eligible expenses, events, the creation of working materials, qualification measures in part-time or voluntary work, as well as study trips within Europe and to Israel are supported. Applications can be submitted electronically at any time before the start of the respective project.

Conditions for a grant include a personal contribution of at least 20% of eligible costs, implementation of the project in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, and participation of at least ten persons aged 14 and above, of whom at least 80% reside in the federal state. Excluded are projects aimed at political decision-making or opinion formation of organizations, events with predominantly organizer-related topics, professional training with a tourism focus, as well as organizational meetings, specialist congresses, or demonstrations. For application, the funding guidelines, the electronic funding application, the General Terms and Conditions, as well as a subsequent proof of use are required. The State Center for Political Education Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, in cooperation with the State Chancellery Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, assumes the professional support and approval of the funded projects.
