Description
This funding program supports targeted prevention projects in the field of violence protection in Vienna. Public-law entities can finance 100% of the relevant expenses for personnel, materials, travel, and subcontracting. A prerequisite is a written application using the BMI form at least three months before the project start and the implementation of all activities in Vienna. Measures and initiatives that include both preventive services as well as protection, counseling, and assistance services are funded. Special attention is given to strengthening civil courage and the close networking of governmental and non-governmental bodies to effectively reduce violence and provide sustainable protection for victims.
Planned project proposals should equally reach specific target groups—primarily women and minors—and their effectiveness will be evaluated based on professional assessment criteria. Applicants outline concrete goals and project outcomes in their concept, submit a financial plan and project description, and explain indicators for measuring success. The focus is on high relevance to the local community, efficient use of resources, target group reach, and long-term impact. The fund is continuously open, thereby contributing to strengthening social cohesion and securing democratic coexistence in Vienna.
