Description

The funding program “Preventive Interdisciplinary Early Intervention and Family Support” is aimed at non-profit organizations in Styria and is provided as a grant. Private child and youth welfare institutions with official approval and a written service contract with the Styrian State Government deliver preventive, interdisciplinary early intervention primarily in the familiar environment of the family. The measure covers a duration of up to twelve months and supports children aged 0–6 years as well as hearing children of deaf parents who have a valid care agreement. Ongoing application opportunities ensure flexible utilization according to individual support needs. The initiative is part of the social funding landscape in the areas of Social Affairs, Children and Youth, as well as Labor & Social Affairs.

The primary funding objective is to strengthen the family environment and prevent developmental deficits or behavioral issues through the earliest possible coordinated deployment of various disciplines. Parents and other caregivers are actively involved in the care process, so that resources and competencies in everyday home life are sustainably expanded. Prerequisites for approval, in addition to non-profit sponsorship and the service contract, include clear criteria regarding the age group and the qualifications of the providing institutions. Through close cooperation with therapists, educators, and social workers, comprehensive support is ensured that promotes each child’s individual developmental path and sustainably improves the quality of life for the entire family.
