Internship Placement (German-Baltic Study Foundation)

The internship placement service of the German-Baltic Study Foundation offers young students, trainees, and career starters from Germany, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Ukraine straightforward opportunities for internships abroad in the respective other countries. As an ongoing, nationwide funding program, the Foundation actively supports the search for suitable internship positions in Germany and the Baltic states. The goal is to accompany participants in deepening their professional knowledge through international practical experience, strengthening intercultural competencies, and establishing valuable contacts across borders. Willingness for cultural exchange and the expansion of language skills are central to this process.

To enable the commencement of an internship, submitting a completed contact form or direct contact with one of the Foundation’s four regional offices is sufficient. Funding approval is granted as a financial subsidy, allocated according to individual circumstances to facilitate travel and accommodation costs. There is no fixed application deadline – applications can be submitted at any time. A prerequisite for funding is residence or origin in one of the participating countries. The German-Baltic Study Foundation supports interested parties throughout the entire process, thereby making a decisive contribution to the professional and personal development of young talents within the European region.
