Description
The program Doing Good in MV supports volunteer-led projects in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania that strengthen social cohesion and comply with the charitable purposes of § 52 AO. Eligible for funding are non-profit organizations, public-law corporations, interest groups, as well as associations based in MV and volunteer initiatives in cooperation with a sponsor. In particular, small and very small associations can receive a one-time support of up to €1,000, in exceptional cases up to €3,000 per project year. The grant helps to implement innovative initiatives in the areas of engagement for democracy, labor, and social affairs in an uncomplicated manner and to promote local networking and participation.
Applications are submitted digitally via the EAS MV portal and are possible from November 15, 2025. A pause in applications will be observed between July 1 and 31, 2026; thereafter, the program will accept applications again from August 1, 2026. For projects in 2026, applications can be submitted until June 30, 2026. The evaluation primarily focuses on strengthening community and cohesion as well as proven charitable status according to § 52 AO. The fully paperless process allows for interim saving of documents and collaborative editing within teams.
