Description
In North Rhine-Westphalia, a program of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Protection and Energy supports the transition to low-emission mobility in order to achieve the state's climate protection goals and enhance urban quality of life. Eligible applicants include companies, natural persons, and municipal institutions that aim to develop concepts for electromobility, establish charging infrastructure, or procure low-emission vehicles. Additionally, accompanying studies, analyses, and feasibility concepts are funded to strategically underpin the introduction of modern propulsion technologies. Gender-neutral applications can be submitted via an electronic form at the Arnsberg District Government, with project commencement only permitted after receipt of the funding approval.
Eligible for funding are, among others, implementation concepts for electromobility, publicly accessible as well as non-public charging infrastructure including grid connections, pure battery and fuel cell vehicles, and cargo bikes. Research and development projects in the field of low-emission mobility are also subsidized. The maximum funding amount is 500,000 euros per year and applicant, with a minimum threshold of 500 euros. An ongoing application process without fixed deadlines allows flexible project preparation. Excluded are projects in economic difficulty, prototypes with fewer than four units, self-built vehicles, as well as legally mandated or officially ordered measures.
