Projects to Strengthen Democracy and Tolerance

The funding program "Projects to Strengthen Democracy and Tolerance" is aimed at institutions and actors in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania who wish to develop innovative approaches to promoting democratic cohesion and social tolerance. This offer is open to non-profit organizations, companies, public institutions, as well as private individuals, and enables the implementation of projects that provide broad education about anti-democratic tendencies. The thematic and methodological orientation of the projects is deliberately broad, so that both proven and experimental approaches to political education are included. The goal is to support practice-oriented projects that stimulate democratic discourse and initiate future-oriented learning processes. In this context, the imparting of key competencies plays a central role, which are indispensable for social cohesion. The involvement of participants, experts, and actors from diverse backgrounds is expressly welcomed in order to incorporate varied perspectives and create synergies.

Applications for funding are made using the prescribed forms and guidelines, which cover all aspects such as ancillary provisions, project description, and transparent accounting. The ongoing funding enables initiators to plan projects long-term and continuously develop them further.
