Project Funding by the Bastet Foundation Hamburg

The Bastet Foundation Hamburg supports nationwide non-profit initiatives and projects dedicated to the protection of animals and their habitats. Funding is provided for campaigns in the areas of animal welfare, environmental and nature conservation, as well as education and training, research & innovation, and energy efficiency & climate protection. Both associations, educational institutions, and public bodies, as well as private individuals or companies, may apply. The foundation grants year-round subsidies for the implementation of further training, scientific studies, and practical projects. The goal is to strengthen networks, disseminate knowledge, and secure sustainable measures both professionally and financially. Through continuous awarding of grants, a diverse range of activities is supported – from scientific studies to local nature conservation initiatives and educational formats for various target groups.

For a funding commitment, applicants must submit a project in the field of animal or environmental protection along with a fully completed grant application. An excerpt from the register of associations including proof of signing authority and a financing plan are mandatory; for amounts over 10,000 euros, additionally balance sheets or annual financial statements from the last three years are required. A detailed project description with objectives provides insight into planned measures and expected impacts. Since there are no exclusion deadlines, applications can be submitted at any time.
