Description
The project funding of the Eberhard Schürmann Foundation supports outstanding academic and research achievements in the fields of metallurgy, materials and materials science, as well as application technology of metallic materials. The proceeds from the foundation’s capital are used to honor excellent dissertations, bachelor’s and master’s theses, as well as scientific project work with awards or financial grants. Furthermore, the foundation promotes the exchange of experience and cooperation with national and international universities, as well as needy research and teaching activities in these disciplines.
Eligible to apply are all members of TU Clausthal who study, teach, or conduct research in the aforementioned disciplines. Applications must include a positive recommendation from the supervising professor(s) documenting the quality of the scientific work. An informal application or the application form for financial grants for projects must be submitted on time to the chairperson of the foundation. A board of trustees decides on the selection of funded projects based on the recommendations and content evaluation.
