Description
The non-profit foundation EIN HERZ LACHT supports individual, self-contained projects of associations, educational institutions, and interest groups in the greater Cologne and Troisdorf area that are dedicated to the promotion of children and youth. Projects with a preventive and value-transmitting character are funded, focusing on education, social learning, and sustainable developmental impulses. Networking with local cooperation partners plays a central role in securing the sustainability of results and increasing public impact. Since its founding, the foundation has pursued the goal of opening up perspectives, strengthening self-confidence, and enabling social participation through creative, sporting, or cultural offerings.
Eligible expenses include personnel, material, supplies, and room costs, but not retroactive expenses for already completed projects. Only non-profit organizations (no individuals, no commercial providers) are eligible to apply. Submission requires a fully completed funding application, a current tax exemption certificate, and optionally flyers, photos, or additional information about the project. Evaluation criteria include the preventive character, value transmission, integration into local networks, sustainable impact, and communication of project results to the public. Applications can be submitted at any time; the foundation awards grants without predetermined deadlines and covers all administrative and personnel costs itself, so that every contribution directly benefits the funded projects.
