Description

The project funding of the Foundation for European Culture and Education supports idealistic and financial initiatives aimed at strengthening European culture and education, with a focus on the Saarland and the adjacent Greater Region Saar-Lor-Lux. Non-profit associations, educational institutions, and public bodies that independently design project developments, seminars, and events are eligible for funding. The foundation places particular emphasis on intercultural encounters, new working methods to foster a European identity, as well as Europe-oriented public relations and publications. Through its committed engagement, it contributes to ensuring that cultural diversity is lived and educational impulses are sustainably anchored. Funding is provided as a one-time grant within the framework of available resources – there is no legal entitlement to financing.

Applications can be submitted at any time and must be made exclusively via the official application form, which must be submitted together with the project application information sheet, a detailed description of the measure, and an expenditure and financing plan. After a positive review, the board decides on the granting of funding and informs the applicants in writing. For disbursement, proof of use in the form of an income and expenditure overview, a final report, accompanying photographic material, and, if applicable, press clippings must be submitted. The foundation places great importance on referencing its support, for example by displaying its logo. With this transparent and continuous funding structure, the Foundation for European Culture and Education offers committed actors the opportunity to effectively implement cross-border cultural and educational projects.
