Description
The project funding of the Foundation for Spiritual Life supports one-time grants for initiatives that serve the spiritual renewal of the Church in Germany and Austria. Non-profit organizations as well as private individuals who implement projects in the areas of child and youth work, training and further education, education, social engagement, and social cohesion are eligible for funding. Special emphasis is placed on measures that newly convey the Gospel, revitalize Christian communities, or advance Christian media work. The funding amounts range from €500 to €2,500 and are granted in the form of a subsidy. Key evaluation criteria are the alignment of the project with the foundation’s purpose as well as the comprehensibility and feasibility of the project concept.
Applications can be submitted by congregations, communities, organizations, working groups, and individuals until August 31 of each year – the next deadline is September 1, 2026. A prerequisite for funding is the completed application form, which must be submitted signed in PDF or DOCX format. The decision is made after the foundation’s annual meeting in late autumn. This funding opportunity is aimed at all those who wish to inspire people anew for the faith, strengthen Christian communities, and carry the faith forward using contemporary media. Clearly structured ideas with a direct reference to spiritual renewal have the best chances of success.
