Description

The project funding of the Löwenbrücke Braunschweig Foundation offers non-profit organizations, public institutions, and private individuals in Lower Saxony diverse opportunities to implement innovative concepts for the health promotion of people with complex physical disabilities. The focus is on supporting initiatives that use integrative medical technology to enhance mobility and social participation. Projects are funded in the areas of health, research & innovation, as well as work & social affairs, ranging from preventive and rehabilitative measures to scientific studies, seminars, workshops, and collaborations in healthcare. Support ranges from initial financing of technical equipment to the accompaniment of long-term programs that enable people of all life stages – from children to adults – to lead a self-determined daily life and be sustainably integrated into the community.

Funding applications can be submitted at any time. Submission requires that the project is oriented towards health promotion for the target group and fulfills the foundation’s purpose of holistic integration of people with complex disabilities. The evaluation particularly considers the innovative character of the project as well as its sustainable and holistic concept. A non-repayable grant is awarded as the funding amount, which varies depending on the individual case. A formal project funding application must be attached to the submission. There is no legal entitlement to funding. Rejected projects will not be reconsidered by the board; however, future project ideas may be resubmitted at a later date.
