Project Funding of the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Foundation for Environment and Nature Conservation

The project funding of the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Foundation for Environmental Protection and Nature Conservation is aimed at natural and legal persons under private and public law who wish to independently implement community-oriented measures in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Funding is provided exclusively for individual, clearly defined projects in the areas of nature conservation, landscape management, as well as environmental education, awareness-raising, and training. Initiatives from business, civil society, and administration alike may submit applications. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis, allowing project managers to receive a timely decision regarding a purpose-bound, non-repayable grant. A special focus is placed on innovative approaches to energy efficiency and climate protection that simultaneously promote the preservation of habitats and biodiversity.

A prerequisite for funding is compliance with § 37 para. 3 of the Nature Conservation Implementation Act of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, as well as proof of the professional and organizational capacities for project implementation. An appropriate own contribution from the applicants forms the basis for partial or need-based financing. Measures already started and wage subsidies are not eligible for funding. A funding amount of up to 1,000 euros can be granted per project. The continuous submission option allows project ideas to be flexibly integrated into the planning and implementation phases, in order to specifically provide impetus for nature conservation, landscape management, and environmental education offerings in the federal state.
