Description
The project funding of the Stiftung Zukunft im Wittekindskreis is aimed at tax-privileged, non-profit organizations based in the Herford district as well as public-law institutions that plan regional initiatives in the fields of education, science, culture, environment, child and youth welfare, health, sports, or civic engagement. Funding is provided for individual projects that have not yet commenced, have a clear connection to the Herford district, and are supported by an appropriate own contribution. Applications can be submitted at any time but should be received no later than three weeks before a board meeting. A project duration of up to 36 months allows scope for long-term initiatives. The decision on the awarding of grants is made by a board of trustees, which considers compliance with the foundation’s objectives, the regional relevance, and the own contribution as central award criteria.
For the application, a fully completed funding application must be submitted, including statutes, extract from the register of associations, certificate of non-profit status, annual financial statement, detailed project description, and financing plan. After a positive decision, a factual and financial report on the use of funds must be prepared; for ongoing projects, an interim report is required after twelve months. The foundation provides both funding guidelines and sample forms. With this continuous funding opportunity, the foundation supports sustainable structural measures and promotes exemplary pilot projects, innovative educational approaches, and engagement that contribute in the long term to development and quality of life in the Herford district.
