Description

The project funding for the areas of wind and folk music as well as folk culture in Salzburg is aimed at non-profit organizations, interest groups, associations, companies, public institutions, and private individuals with a folk cultural connection. The goal is the financial support of non-investive projects such as music events, courses, or publications that serve the public interest and have a clear connection to the Salzburg region. Eligible expenses include personnel costs, material costs, travel expenses, publication and event costs, while construction measures, museum operating expenses, or real estate acquisitions are excluded. A prerequisite for the application is a fully completed funding application with a substantive concept as well as a detailed cost and financing overview. The application must be submitted before the project begins; there is no fixed deadline for completion, valid since 01.01.2014. The decision is based on criteria such as incentive effect (not feasible without funding), cost appropriateness, own contribution, public interest, and the professional suitability of the applicants.

After completion of the project, proof of use, invoices, and payment receipts must be submitted, and continuous public relations work must be demonstrated in compliance with the logo regulations of the State of Salzburg. Payment is made after successful verification of use and signing of the funding agreement. The funding agreement obliges to the economical, frugal, and purpose-bound use of the funds; legal action may be taken in case of violations. Additionally, the General Guidelines for the granting of funding by the State of Salzburg as well as European legal provisions of the GBER apply. This grant offer provides committed cultural initiatives with a reliable basis for the further development and presentation of the rich folk music and cultural heritage in the Salzburg region.
