Description

The project funding of the German-Israeli Future Forum Foundation is aimed at non-profit organizations, companies, and public institutions in Germany that wish to implement bilateral cooperation projects together with Israeli partners. Funded are projects that contribute to strengthening social cohesion, democracy education, development cooperation, or the promotion of rural areas and address at least one of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The funding period is at least six months and can start no earlier than July 1. Eligible to apply are initiatives that ensure diversity and gender equality within their participant group: trainees, students, professionals, and civil society actors aged 18–45 from Germany and Israel. Bilaterality throughout the project – with balanced activities in both countries – is one of the central evaluation criteria. Further evaluation standards include target group-appropriate communication and the sustainability of the achieved results.

Eligible costs include material expenses such as travel and transport costs, expenses for meals and accommodation, fees, as well as organizational and material costs. Construction measures, institutional (ongoing) costs, or projects with a touristic or commercial background are not supported. The grant amounts up to 25,000 euros. The multi-stage application process begins with an online inquiry during the annual application window from March 15 to April 15. After a positive review, an invitation to submit a detailed funding application follows. Required documents include the completed online form and a detailed project proposal. The call encourages setting sustainable, democracy-promoting impulses and deepening transnational dialogue.
