Description

The Free State of Bavaria offers continuously available project funding for voluntary return from Bavaria as well as for reintegration and comprehensive preparation for re-entry into the country of origin. Public institutions, interest groups, and other associations can apply for a grant for the conception and implementation of measures. The goal is to motivate individuals willing to leave early on through needs-based support services to take the step towards return with dignity and, if possible, within a short stay in Germany. A broad range of services—from return counseling and short qualifications to personal reintegration assistance—is intended to sustainably strengthen professional and social prospects in the country of origin. Project sponsors benefit from close coordination with the Bavarian State Office for Asylum and Return (LfAR), which ensures professional support and administrative processing.

Project proposals can be submitted to the LfAR at any time; early presentation increases the chances of success. A prerequisite for funding is proof of precise alignment with the needs of the Free State as well as an effective intensification of voluntary return. Recipients of funding can claim both personnel expenses and material costs. For the application, a brief project description and a preliminary financial plan must be submitted. Co-financing by other funding bodies is possible, with the amount and share to be determined in coordination. The legal basis is the funding program of the State Ministry of the Interior, for Sport and Integration. The funding initiative is equally aimed at municipalities, associations, and organizations engaged in the fields of migration, labor & social affairs for humane and sustainable return promotion.
