Description
Under the leadership of the Federal Chancellery, national and international projects in Vienna are supported that are dedicated to the processing, remembrance, and research of Austria's Nazi past. Eligible projects come from the fields of culture, education, science, media, vocational and further training, as well as research & innovation. Private individuals, companies, and non-profit organizations may submit applications at any time: the funding scheme has been open indefinitely since January 1, 2014, and provides a non-repayable grant for personnel expenses, material, and travel costs. This ongoing call encourages new research approaches, implements formats for cultural remembrance, and promotes cooperation at both national and international levels.
For a successful application, the project start and total financing must be secured in advance. At the same time, a legally signed funding application including a cost calculation, detailed project description, and comprehensive financing plan must be submitted. Compliance with the “General Framework Guidelines for the Granting of Funding from Federal Funds 2014” as well as acceptance of the General Funding Conditions are prerequisites. Only projects that have not yet commenced at the time of application can be considered. Upon completion of the project, a written report together with a documented proof of expenditure must be submitted. This program is aimed at all actors who wish to contribute with innovative concepts to historical research and societal engagement.
