Description
The special funding program of the state of Carinthia is aimed at small and medium-sized accommodation businesses that wish to sustainably enhance the guest experience through quality-enhancing investments and expand their competitiveness. Eligible are companies based in Carinthia that are members of the Hotel Industry Division of the Carinthian Chamber of Commerce, are classified as hotels with at least three stars, and have an annual turnover of more than EUR 500,000 as well as a proven positive cash flow. Funding is provided for structural renovations and extensions in rooms, restaurants, lobbies, and experience infrastructure, as well as other measures that visibly and functionally increase comfort for guests. Investment projects must have eligible project costs starting from EUR 50,000 and be realized within 18 months.
The non-repayable grant covers up to 20% of the eligible expenses, but no more than EUR 100,000. Excluded are basic infrastructures such as building renovations of facades, insulation, roofs and windows, energy and building technology, kitchen and storage areas, parking spaces, waste management, staff accommodations, and IT equipment. Applications can presumably be submitted from 01.04.2026 to 31.12.2026. Required documents include, among others, a fully completed funding application, a detailed project description, financing and cost plans, as well as proof of classification, membership, and annual financial statements. The program promotes the economic viability and growth potential of accommodation businesses and thereby supports the long-term modernization and value creation in the tourism region of Carinthia.
