Strengthening and consolidating growth potential as well as supporting the modernization and enhancement of the competitiveness of accommodation businesses (SMEs) in Carinthia through investments in quality-improving measures that directly enhance the guest experience.

Description
The QUALITY INITIATIVE.Hotellerie offers small and medium-sized accommodation businesses in Carinthia targeted special funding for investments in quality-enhancing measures with a minimum volume of €50,000 and a maximum grant amount of 20% (up to €100,000). Eligible applicants are SME hotels located in Carinthia, members of the Hotellerie professional group of the Carinthian Chamber of Commerce, with at least a 3-star classification and positive cash flow. Funded are capitalized tangible and intangible assets as well as conversions, expansions, and additions in the areas of rooms, restaurant, bar, lobby, reception, and experience infrastructure. Building renovations, energy and parking space investments, IT equipment, kitchen, cooling and storage rooms, as well as waste management are excluded. The project duration is 18 months, and submissions are possible from April 1 to December 31, 2026.
The aim of the funding is to sustainably strengthen the growth potential of accommodation businesses, support modernization processes, and increase competitiveness through immediately perceptible improvements in the guest experience. Selection is based on the added value for guests, economic viability, as well as implementation and budget structure. For the application, in addition to the online form, the annual financial statement or income-expenditure statement, proof of classification, membership confirmation of the Hotellerie professional group, detailed project description, and cost plan must be submitted. After formal and substantive review, applicants receive a non-repayable grant upon positive decision, which is paid out after successful accounting. This program enables Carinthian accommodation businesses to enhance their service quality, increase their attractiveness to guests, and succeed in the market in the long term.
