Description
From 01.01.2024 to 31.12.2030, the Framework Directive for Commercial Tourism Promotion of the State of Upper Austria provides non-repayable grants to realize investments in gastronomy, accommodation, and tourism facilities. The goal is to strengthen the tourism and leisure industry through the establishment, expansion, and modernization of businesses as well as the takeover of existing companies. Eligible measures include structural quality improvements, operational size-optimizing conversions, new constructions for accommodation and gastronomy, staff housing, and employee facilities. Innovations aimed at accessing new markets and target groups, as well as projects implementing the State Tourism Strategy 2030, are also supported. Furthermore, digitization measures and external consulting services can be funded to establish future-oriented business models.
Commercial enterprises and young entrepreneurs in the “Tourism and Leisure Industry” sector of the Upper Austrian Chamber of Commerce, who are regular or voluntary members of a tourism association according to the Tourism Act 2018 and meet the SME criteria of the EU definition (exceptions apply for large companies in designated NRFG), are eligible for funding. Prerequisites for a grant include, among others, proof of financial security, a coherent, sustainable business concept, and timely submission of the funding application before the project start. Double utilization of already funded investment costs is excluded. Eligible costs must generally be incurred within two years after the application submission. For complete application processing, the funding application, project description, and cost and financing plan must be submitted to ensure prompt processing and orderly implementation.
