Description
In Carinthia, this grant program supports measures and projects that promote health-enhancing processes in various living environments. The focus is on advisory and service offerings in childcare facilities, schools, businesses, and communities, aimed at strengthening self-determination and sustainably improving health and well-being. A holistic approach combines behavioral changes with structural adjustments, taking into account the specific needs of different target groups. The initiative is guided by the core principles of health promotion: a positive concept of health, equity, resource orientation, empowerment, setting- and determinant-oriented approaches, participation, networking, and sustainability.
Eligible for funding are intermediary organizations – including public institutions, non-profit organizations, companies, interest groups, and other associations – that provide in-kind services in the aforementioned settings. A prerequisite for approval is proof of non-profit status or appropriate use of funds, as well as the formal submission of a funding application. Since applications can be submitted year-round, the program flexibly supports projects of any size and duration. In doing so, it makes an important contribution to the structural anchoring of health promotion in Carinthia and encourages organizations to implement innovative and tailored offerings for their target groups.
