Description

Under the Student Allowance Act 1983, indefinite grants are available to needy students at medical-technical colleges (MTF) and schools for medical assistant professions in Vienna. The support is divided into school allowance for tuition fees, boarding allowance to cover accommodation expenses, and travel cost allowance for the daily commute to the educational institution. This funding opportunity aims to ensure equal opportunities and a smooth educational pathway by minimizing financial barriers related to tuition and living expenses. Applications can be submitted continuously, allowing for flexible adaptation to individual life circumstances.

Eligible for funding are all students at an MTF school or a school for medical assistant professions in Vienna who • are in need, • demonstrate satisfactory academic progress, • are attending the respective school level for the first time, and • began their schooling before reaching the age of 30. Applications are to be submitted to Section VI of the Federal Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection. To ensure prompt processing, income statements, school certificates, and confirmation of first-time attendance at the respective school level must be enclosed. This funding contributes to enabling all young people, regardless of their social background, to pursue a quality-assured educational path in the medical-technical field and promotes a sustainably solidarity-financed healthcare system in the long term.
