Description

The Raiffeisen Foundation supports school projects nationwide from educational institutions that vividly convey cooperative organizational and operational practices. Funding is provided, for example, for simulation games, experiments, or collaboratively organized projects that illustrate economic interrelationships, offer early orientation for future professional life, and strengthen social skills. The target groups are students of all school types, vocational students, technical school students, and school groups as well as their school administrations. Special emphasis is placed on measures that have exemplary effects for cooperatives. Funding is provided as a grant and can be applied for continuously; a sustainability reference in terms of the Sustainable Development Goals is desirable and positively influences the application evaluation.

Applications are submitted informally in writing or electronically by the school administration. The funding application should be no longer than six pages and include the following information: details of the applying institution, a meaningful project title with an explanation of compliance with the foundation’s purpose, location, date and duration of the project, prospects for continuation, description of the exemplary effect, detailed project description (objectives, methods, organization), communication measures, financial plan (material resources, travel expenses), information on other funders in case of partial financing, as well as information on simultaneously submitted applications. Decision criteria are formal completeness, alignment with the foundation’s purpose, sustainability aspects, and quality of the project description. Since applications can be submitted at any time, flexible planning periods and rapid implementation of innovative educational formats are possible.
