Other Economic Services

The individual funding “Other Economic Services” of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs, Energy and Tourism strengthens the attractiveness of Vienna as a business location through targeted grants for innovative projects and events. Examples of funded activities include summer academies focusing on digitalization, foreign trade activities, or business-financing consulting initiatives. Eligible to apply are companies of any legal form, start-ups, founders, non-profit organizations, educational institutions, foundations, cooperatives, interest groups, private individuals, as well as public institutions, provided the planned project is economically related and overall financing is secured. The ongoing submission possibility until the funding volume is exhausted allows for flexible project implementation throughout the entire year.

To receive funding, a legally signed funding application must be submitted, including a detailed cost calculation, a comprehensive project description, and a financing plan. A prerequisite is that the project has not yet commenced at the time of application; retroactive funding is excluded. By submitting the application, the acceptance of the General Funding Conditions of the BMAW is automatically declared. The grant is provided in the form of direct federal funds and is based on the current framework guidelines. This offer is particularly suitable for those actors who wish to set effective impulses for digitalization, strengthening foreign trade, or business financing in Vienna and want to rely on a proven funding scheme.
