Social Housing Promotion – Rental Apartments

The funding program Social Housing Promotion – Rental Apartments in Schleswig-Holstein offers low-interest loans and investment grants for the new construction and modernization of socially bound housing. Funding is provided to companies, private individuals, and public institutions implementing housing construction projects or measures in the areas of housing construction & modernization as well as infrastructure & urban development. The funding rate is up to 85%, supplemented by investment grants of up to 35% of the total costs and a maximum of €1,500/m² of living space. In return, there is a rent and occupancy commitment for 35 years. Required documents include, among others, a municipal statement with a needs assessment, the housing entitlement certificate (WBS), proof of cost and living space limits, as well as an energy certificate. All documents can be applied for online at any time via IB.SH. IB.SH reviews eligibility in a multi-stage process – starting with municipal approval, followed by technical consultation through ARGE//eV, and concluding with credit assessment.
