Description

Since 2005, the Sparkassenstiftung Jena-Saale-Holzland has been committed to supporting a wide range of projects in the fields of culture, social affairs, science, education, sports, and the environment. With a clear focus on the regions of Jena and Saale-Holzland district, the foundation dedicates itself to backing initiatives that stand out through outstanding quality, innovative approaches, and a strong regional connection. The funding includes, among others, the areas of building and monument preservation, social cohesion, development cooperation, children and youth, labor & social affairs, as well as environmental and climate protection. This broad orientation aims to sustainably improve the quality of life locally and strengthen regional identity.

The funding is exclusively aimed at non-profit organizations, charitable associations, institutions, and religious communities based in Jena or the Saale-Holzland district. Natural persons may only be considered in exceptional cases within the framework of charitable projects. All initiatives must demonstrate a clear regional connection and be characterized by innovation and networking. The Sparkassenstiftung places special emphasis on projects that achieve sustainable impact and contribute socially and culturally to the development of the region. New focal points are set annually to reflect the dynamic needs in the supported sectors.
