Description
In Carinthia, there is an ongoing grant funding available for inpatient and semi-inpatient psychosocial residential care in accordance with § 13 of the Carinthian Equal Opportunities Act. Public institutions and non-profit organizations can submit applications to enable professionally supervised accommodation for persons with mental impairments who are unable to work and cannot live independently. Funding covers the costs of accommodation, meals, as well as care and support services in facilities that hold a valid operating license from the state of Carinthia and have concluded an agreement with the state of Carinthia pursuant to § 46 K-ChG. The aim is to ensure a needs-based social minimum security for people with low care needs (care allowance levels 0–3) or homeless persons with corresponding proof of main residence.
A prerequisite for funding is the main residence or actual stay in Carinthia, as well as Austrian citizenship, asylum entitlement, or a permanent residence permit of at least five years. Own funds and third-party benefits must not cover the need. Eligible expenses include accommodation, meals, and care services. For the application, proof of income circumstances (e.g., current payslips, income tax assessment, annual wage slips, AMS benefits, pension entitlements, maintenance payments) must be submitted. Applications can be submitted at any time. This support helps to stabilize the living situation of persons with mental impairments and to ensure adequate care.
