Description

The funding program is aimed at non-profit organizations, interest groups, or other associations in the state of Salzburg and supports low-threshold, outreach services in child and youth welfare. Through an open-ended grant, providers can implement social work concepts for counseling, care, and crisis intervention for young people living in public spaces who are difficult to reach through traditional support services. Projects that specifically target homeless, addiction-risk, or addicted youth, as well as young people from precarious living conditions, and seek to achieve a sustainable improvement in their living situation through continuous relationship building, are particularly supported. The funding covers costs for personnel, materials, and infrastructural support, thereby contributing to social participation and reintegration of disadvantaged youth.

A prerequisite for funding is official recognition as a private child and youth welfare organization as well as proof of regional demand for streetwork services. Furthermore, providers must have appropriate material and personnel resources, demonstrate financial security for the entire funding period, and agree to the auditing of their accounts by the state government or authorized third parties. Application documents include, among others, a funding application, the most recent annual financial statement, a budget for the application year, statutes in the case of a first-time application, and a detailed project description with cost estimates and planned cost accounting. Applications can be submitted at any time and are processed in accordance with the General Guidelines of the State of Salzburg.
