Intercompany Apprentice Training (ÜLU)

The inter-company apprentice training (ÜLU) in Saxony-Anhalt specifically promotes craft training to ensure consistently high quality standards. The program is managed by the Chambers of Crafts, which impart specialized expertise within the framework of basic level courses (1st year of training) as well as advanced level events (2nd–4th year of training). With funds from the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+), both course and accommodation costs are subsidized. Additionally, the Chambers receive a monthly flat rate for participant monitoring to transparently cover the organizational effort. Continuous application opportunities ensure flexible planning before the start of each measure.

Eligible for funding are exclusively the Chambers of Crafts in Saxony-Anhalt, which may pass on subsidies to external providers of inter-company courses. A prerequisite is the registration of apprentices in the Chamber’s apprentice register as well as a professionally and pedagogically qualified implementation as a full-day event in recognized vocational training centers. The standard funding rate amounts to up to 66% of course costs at the basic level and up to 33% at the advanced level. Additionally, accommodation costs at the basic level are subsidized with a flat rate of 60 EUR per week, while ESF+ monitoring is compensated at 2,367 EUR monthly. Applications must be submitted at any time before the start of the courses to the State Administration Office of Saxony-Anhalt and provide the Chambers of Crafts with a solid foundation to optimally and practically convey training content.
