Description

The Foundation of the German Police Union enables members of emergency services and the correctional service to enjoy a restorative stay in nature-oriented foundation houses in Bavaria through the program "Helping with Vacation." Barrier-free accommodations are available for at least one week in Fall at the Sylvenstein Reservoir, in the spa town of Lenggries, or on the southern shore of Lake Walchen in Niedernach. The initiative targets police employees, professional firefighters, paramedics, and correctional officers, offering the opportunity to regain strength after demanding assignments. Booking is provided as a subsidy – accommodation costs are covered free of charge or at a significantly reduced rate and simultaneously contribute back to the foundation's work.

To apply, proof of employment in the respective emergency or justice sector and the desire for a stay of at least one week are required; membership in the DPolG is welcome but not mandatory. A completed inquiry form with contact details and proof of employment suffices, as applications can be submitted at any time. Decisions are based on accommodation availability and affiliation with the target group. This funding offer combines relaxation with psychosocial support and contributes to trauma management and the strengthening of operational readiness for emergency personnel and justice employees.
