Description
The funding supports companies, associations, and non-profit organizations throughout Austria in the targeted densification of existing heat distribution networks by connecting additional consumers. Funding is provided for the connection of up to 25 consumers, each with a maximum nominal heat output of 100 kW per transfer station, in order to increase energy efficiency and anchor renewable heat sources in operational supply. Applications can be submitted online to Kommunalkredit Public Consulting (KPC) at any time until December 31, 2050, after project completion – but only within six months following invoicing. The program aims to promote sustainable utilization of district heating networks and advance ecological heating solutions across various economic sectors.
Eligible costs include essential system components owned by the applicants, such as transfer stations, pipelines, excavation work, as well as all necessary planning and installation work. A prerequisite for disbursement is the submission of complete documentation: the signed funding settlement form, invoice copies, an updated consumer list, signed heat supply contracts, and a De-Minimis declaration. Following positive project evaluation, the subsidies will be disbursed, at which point the funding contract becomes legally binding. This program offers an attractive opportunity to optimize operating costs while simultaneously reducing the ecological footprint – a compelling contribution to climate protection in companies and non-profit institutions.
