Fully Assisted Living for People with Disabilities

The funding program "Fully Supported Living for People with Disabilities" by the Fonds Soziales Wien is aimed at adult residents of Vienna with non-age-related physical, intellectual, or psychological impairments. The objective of this needs-based individual service is comprehensive care in shared apartments or private individual housing. A fundamental principle is the preservation of self-determination and the greatest possible autonomy to gradually transition to more independent living arrangements. Support includes both professional assistance in daily life as well as catering and accommodation. The grant is awarded upon application starting September 1, 2024, and is granted indefinitely as long as the individual eligibility criteria continue to be met.

Eligible for funding are persons with primary residence or habitual abode in Vienna who utilize services in day structure, vocational qualification, or professional or labor integration until the end of working age. The financial personal contribution is calculated based on income and care allowance status according to § 22 CGW. For the application, a fully completed form, official photo ID, birth certificate, proof of citizenship or equivalence, medical report or disability notice, income and care allowance documentation, as well as a declaration of commitment/liability must be submitted. Recognition of the facility in accordance with the General and Specific Funding Guidelines of the FSW is a prerequisite for the award. Applications are submitted to the FSW customer service; review is conducted by a multiprofessional team that communicates the decision and funding notice in writing. Timely notification of changes and ongoing submission of proof of personal contributions are mandatory.
