Description
With the funding program "Continuation of Club Activities," the Hessian Ministry for Family, Seniors, Sports, Health, and Care in Hesse provides uncomplicated financial assistance for non-profit sports clubs and associations. Eligible to apply are organizations based in Hesse that are members of the Hessian State Sports Association (Landessportbund Hessen e.V.) or a Hessian sports federation and can demonstrate a particular financial burden. Funding is primarily provided for smaller maintenance and repair measures at sports facilities as well as the acquisition of durable sports and care equipment. The goal is to sustainably secure club activities and diverse sports offerings in the long term and to contribute to social cohesion and regional sports development.
The grant is provided as a fixed-amount funding with a funding rate of 25% of the recognized eligible expenses and a maximum funding amount of 10,000 euros. Among the requirements are that the measure has not yet begun, overall financing is secured, and no other state funds are being used for the same project. In the evaluation, besides the financial burden on the club, the contribution to state interests (e.g., competitive sports), synergy effects through multiple use, and committed own contributions are also considered. To apply, a project description, justification of necessity, cost estimates or offers, details of the financing plan, and proof of grants from other funding bodies must be submitted. Applications can be submitted digitally on an ongoing basis, enabling Hessian clubs to strengthen their voluntary work quickly and efficiently.
