Funding objective
The purpose of the funding is to bring our values and culture closer to immigrants and make them understandable, in order to help them better navigate everyday life and our society. This includes conveying the fundamentals of our legal and value system (understanding of democracy, equality, tolerance), strengthening the acceptance of these values and rules, as well as fostering intercultural and interreligious encounters. At the same time, practical assistance is to facilitate integration and highlight pathways to social participation.

Description
The funding program "Werteprojekte" of the Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior, for Sport and Integration supports non-profit organizations, foundations, interest groups, associations, as well as public institutions in Bavaria in the conception and implementation of measures to convey democratic core values and cultural knowledge to immigrants. The goal is to enable immigrants to gain a deeper understanding of the legal and value system—especially understanding of democracy, equality, and tolerance—to promote intercultural and interreligious encounters, and to offer practical assistance for social participation. Projects can be applied for at any time, as there are no fixed deadlines.
Eligible costs include personnel expenses, material expenses, childcare costs, as well as other overhead costs within the scope of the funding purpose, whereby co-financing of up to 90% of eligible expenses is possible. The maximum duration of a project is 12 months. Submission of a formatted application including a project concept as well as an expenditure and financing plan is required. Legal entities with proven performance capability and reliability can submit their documents online via the BayernPortal or in writing to the Government of Middle Franconia—Department 15 (Integration and Promotion, Compensation Office).
