Description

The housing service "Housing exclusive of day structure" in Tyrol enables adults and adolescents with disabilities who cannot live independently and require permanent support to find an individually designed home in residential facilities. The funding supports all aspects of private life management: from basic care and household tasks to social and communicative support. Additionally, leisure activities, health promotion, crisis intervention, as well as counseling on partnership and sexual matters are offered. The services are based on the fundamental principles of the Tyrolean Participation Act (§ 12 para. 2 lit. c TTHG) and the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, focusing on empowerment, freedom of choice, and encounters on an equal footing. The services can be trialed from the age of 16 and are provided flexibly according to need and professional concept, either individually or in group settings. Short-term accommodation and trial days are possible. The funding is provided as a grant and is granted for a maximum of 60 months.

Eligible to apply are non-profit organizations and public institutions in Tyrol. Requirements include proof of disability (§ 3 lit. a TTHG), Austrian citizenship or equivalence, main residence in Tyrol, as well as the prospect of strengthening social participation and involvement in the application and procedure. Applications can be submitted continuously; services begin at the earliest on the first day of the month of application receipt and are valid for up to five years. Required are the completed application form according to the Tyrolean Participation Act and proof of eligibility.
