Grants to Animal Welfare Institutions

This funding initiative is aimed at non-profit animal welfare organizations in Tyrol, specifically animal shelters, and supports them both in ongoing operations and investment projects. The focus is on the protection of the life and well-being of escaped, abandoned, left-behind, or officially confiscated animals. The goal is to ensure the long-term provision of high-quality care by covering veterinary, feed, and care costs. Additionally, investment grants are provided to optimize the construction and maintenance of animal welfare facilities in terms of building and energy efficiency, thereby promoting energy efficiency and climate protection.

Funding is provided in the form of a non-repayable grant, which can be applied for at any time. Eligible expenses include veterinary costs, feed costs, care costs, as well as investment costs for structural and energy-related measures. A prerequisite is the status as a recognized animal welfare organization. The application must include a detailed cost breakdown for ongoing operations, proof of use (invoices, receipts), and transparent insight into the accounting. This regular review ensures that the funds are used efficiently and purposefully for the benefit of the animals.
